In March of 2025, Platform A collaborated with Berlin based gallery glue to facilitate a ten-day long artist residency in Berlin, which culminated in the exhibition Groundhoppers. Participating artists created work on site, responding to the industrial, queer, and creative culture of Berlin. Now, Platform A will host glue director DAG and artist Jirka Pfahl as they bring Groundhoppers to Middlesbrough Art Week. This second edition of the exhibition will feature artists DAG, Jirka Pfahl, Michaela Zimmer, Erika Krause, and Grapebattleships, in a show that promises an investigation into the creative an cultural similarities between Middlesbrough and Berlin.
